Spanish beat Italians in penalty shootout

Italy never really looked like they would win the game. Spain played to their style. They kept possession and played well enough to deserve the victory. Spain's attacking midfield options are the deepest remaining in the tournament. Xavi and Iniesta, Fabregas and Alonso. I think Fabergas provided an extra spark off the bench. He put Villa through with a delightful ball, but Villa's touch failed him. I think he deserves a starting spot. Then again, so does Alonso after the Greece game.

I predict another big win against the Russians, albeit not as big as game 1.

Dutch fans chanting: "Luca Toni is homo". Too funny. Very disappointing tournament for Toni. Misses more chances than anyone else.
